More and more of today's toys are battery-operated. That's why the Canadian Toy Testing Council is working with Energizer Canada to help parents identify good battery-operated toys, and work towards improving battery consumption. Our new CTTC/Energizer seal, featuring the Energizer Bunny and the CTTC Bear, will help consumers to identify top-rated battery-operated toys.

The 2002 CTTC/Energizer Toy of the Year is:

Racin' Rider RC Cycle
Model #0102
Little Tikes Company,
Ages 3+

2002 CTTC/ENERGIZER TOY OF THE YEAR

***Energizer AWARD 2002***

Ready, set, go! Kids were thrilled with this battery-operated, radio-controlled motorcycle made of durable, colourful plastic. The toy's remote controller was easy to grip and to operate. The up, down and side-to-side buttons were easy for small hands to hold and manipulate. Children could race the cycle through courses inside and outside of the home; the motorcycle turned corners well, thanks to the toy rider's ability to kick out a leg and lean into turns. This sturdy toy operated smoothly from a distance as well as up close. A real winner. NOTE: One 9-Volt and four "AA" batteries required for the motorcycle and the remote (not included).
